I ๐ KISAN is the design contest to create a dating app that helps Indian farmers connect with others who appreciate their way of life.

Terms and conditions
1. Eligibility:

Open to All (individuals as well as teams)

Each individual or team can submit only one design

Registration Fee: โน500
Early Bird Offer: โน200 (only if you register before 15th July)
Note: Only registrations done before 15th July will be eligible for early bird. You can submit your design anytime between registration and 15th August (last date of submission).
2. Submission Requirements:

Upload your design prototype or video + Write up before the deadline

3. Video Submission

Shortlisted entries (to be announced on 20th July) must submit a 90-second video presentation explaining their design. The video should be in MP4 format with a 16:9 aspect ratio, 24 frames per second.

Language for video should be Marathi or English (Marathi subtitles in case of English audio and vice versa).
4. Open Access through Creative Commons:

All designs submitted as part of the KISAN Design Quest will be made available under a Creative Commons license, allowing them to be freely shared, adapted, and used by the farming community.

This approach ensures that your ideas can create real impact on the ground — helping farmers, makers, and innovators build upon them — while credit is always given to the original creators.

By participating, you agree to share your design under this license, contributing to an open-source movement for rural innovation.
5. Selection Criteria:

Relevance to the Problem Statement: Does your design address the core challenge of connecting farmers and people who respect their lifestyle?

Innovation & Creativity: Is your design unique, innovative, and forward-thinking? Does it bring something fresh to the world of online dating apps?

User Experience & Interface: Is the app easy to navigate? Does it feel intuitive, user-friendly, and engaging?

Cultural Sensitivity & Representation: How well does your design represent the cultural and social aspects of rural India? Is it respectful and inclusive?

Feasibility: Can your design be realistically built? Does it take into account factors like internet access, rural users, and tech limitations?

Storytelling & Presentation: Does your video and write-up clearly communicate the vision and goals of your design?

Any submission found to be plagiarized will be disqualified.

The organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the contest if necessary.
