EV for Farm Design Contest
INTRODUCTION
The Farm Buggy EVs will be a unique addition to farmers fleet—especially those with larger landholdings. A well-designed, affordable farm EV can transform mobility within farms, enabling smoother transport of goods, workers, and equipment while reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
The “Farm Buggy - EV for Farm” design contest is a challenge to the participants to design a compact, rugged, and farmer-friendly electric vehicle. The EV should be ideal for daily use within farms—easy to charge, strong enough for rough tracks, and capable of carrying people and small loads efficiently.
Build India’s first purpose-driven EV for the fields.

Contest Process & Guidelines
Submission Process:​

Participants must register and submit their design through the official contest portal.
-
Each submission must include a short description about the design.
Theme:​

Design an electric vehicle (EV) for on-farm mobility
Suggested Features:​
-
Seating for 4 to 6 people
-
Small cargo space for tools, produce, or input materials
-
Suitable for rough, uneven farm tracks
-
Easy and low-cost charging (solar compatibility is a plus)

Lightweight and affordable design

Winners will get Cash prize plus display space (worth Rs. 1 lakh) at KISAN2025.

Top 10 Teams will get an opportunity to present their design in the form of max 90 second video on KISAN website.
KISAN exhibition visitors will have a vote to choose the popular design.

Terms and conditions
1. Eligibility:

The contest is open to all. (Individual or team)

Each individual or team can submit only one design.

All entries must be original and not copied or commercially sold elsewhere.

3. Intellectual Property:

Participants retain full ownership of their designs.

By submitting, participants grant the organizers a right to showcase their work for educational
and promotional purposes. -
Further development support may be offered through mutual agreement.
4. Judging Criteria:

Functionality & Usefulness - Serves real on-farm mobility needs of farmers.

Design & Comfort - Ergonomic seating, usability, and ease of loading/unloading.

Durability & Terrain Readiness - Built for Indian farm conditions and rough paths.

Charging & Sustainability - Ease of charging, energy efficiency, solar compatibility.

Affordability & Scalability - Feasible for mass production and smallholder adoption.
5. Disqualification Grounds:

Plagiarized or copied designs.
-
Incomplete or irrelevant submissions.
-
Unsafe or impractical ideas with no real application.
6. General Terms:

The organisers reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest at any time.

Any form of plagiarism will lead to disqualification.

The judges’ decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
